About this coffee

We're very excited to present our latest offering from Guatemala, sourced by our fellow Glasgow based pal Javier at Caribbean Goods. Some of you may already know this coffee through our recent feature with the Rise Coffee Subscription. Due to wonderful feedback we received on the coffee, we decided to get more of it to drink and sell ourselves!

This H1 varietal from Chimaltenango is an all rounder that shines on both filter and espresso, expect notes of Caramel, Honey and Chocolate.

Around the turn of the 20th century (1890), don Anacleto Marroquin, a first-generation coffee producer, in an attempt to benefit from the boom of the coffee industry that resulted from the enactment of policies of the central government which favored this industry, bought Finca Esperanza, in the valley of Acatenango, together with his wife Higinia Melendez.
