About this coffee
ANEI are an organisation of Native Agroecological Producers and Farmers from the departments of Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Serranía del Perijá.
Founded in 1995 by Aurora Izquierdo, the first Arhuaca native woman from the community of Yewrwa, who studied in Colombia’s capital of Bogotá. She’s implemented several eco-sustainable programs and projects within the growing communities. These programs strengthen the social, economic and cultural rights of the members and promote a healthy growing environment for high quality food products and organically grown coffee. In their own words, ANEI’s aim is to grow coffee in harmony with mother earth, respecting it every step of the way.
