About this coffee
Sítio da Torre, located in the Mantiqueira de Minas region, is internationally renowned for the quality of its coffees. As 4th generation farmers, their tradition dates back to the 19th century when the family migrated from Italy. They have won the Cup of Excellence award 29 times (as well as plenty of other competitions). They have focused on specialty coffees since 2002, maintaining our commitment to the environment for sustainable coffee farming.
In the summer of 2025, The Forge team had the pleasure of visiting the Sitio da Torre to experience first hand their coffee harvest. Alvaro and his son, Gustavo, took time out of their day to show us all aspects of the farm. From the cherries on the trees, through to the processing and drying of the coffees on the concrete patios. Clearly incredibly passionate about his coffee, Alvaro then took us to his awards cabin. Packed wall-to-wall (and floor to ceiling) with all the awards their coffee has won over the years. It really was a shrine to everything the family has achieved at the farm.
