Black Tea, Florals, Winter Berries & Tropical Fruit. Fidel Huancas Huancas placed 4th in the Cup of Excellence competition in Peru, with this coffee - all 'placed' lots are considered winners. Fidel has done an amazing job squeezing out every bit of flavour from the otherwise fairly pedestrian Yellow Caturra, on his La Esperanza farm. In fact, this is no coincidence: when first taking on the farm, he pulled out all the old plants and specifically identified Yellow Caturra as the choice varietal for this particular terroir.
