About this coffee
Country - Ethiopia Region – Gedeb, Yirgacheffe Process – Natural Altitude - 2150-2250 MASL Varietal – Heirloom Tasting notes - Blueberries, Peach tea, floral
This stunning lot from the community of farmers in the Halo Beriti kebele in Yirgacheffe is the dictionary definition of a naturally processed Ethiopian coffee.
Grown at the seemingly impossibly high altitudes of 2150-2250 metres above sea level, producers from the area surrounding the village sell their cherries locally before being processed by Ephtah Coffee at their 3.5Ha site in Lasela. The cherries are sorted and floated before being allowed to dry for 12-15 days on raised African beds.
