About this coffee
Known for its fruity notes, cascara is the dried pulp or ‘husk’ of the coffee cherry. Cherries are pulped and the skins are sent to a separate neighbouring mill to be carefully dried. It is naturally low in caffeine and is packed with antioxidants.
Cascara has been used for years in Yemen and Ethiopia, although elsewhere it is typically discarded or used as compost. Drinking cascara helps reduce waste from the coffee industry and provide an extra income for farmers... it’s also delicious so that’s a plus!
Steep 18g of Cascara in 300ml of hot water for 4-7 minutes.
