    About this coffee

This Peaberry Top Grade, fully washed lot comes from Kakindu Estate in Kiambu, Kenya. Originally established by British colonists, Kakindu spans 76 hectares and is now one of six estates owned and operated by Sasini—a publicly listed company with majority Kenyan ownership.

Sasini has a long-standing commitment to equity and community development. For estate workers, this includes the provision of housing, early childhood education, union representation, and wages above the legal minimum. In partnership with Olam Specialty and more than 30 of our customers, Sasini has also contributed to the development of the local Njenga Karume Primary School. Most notably, this collaboration funded the construction of a new computer lab, providing students with vital IT skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
