About this coffee
This very lovely coffee is from northern Peru, near the Ecuador border, you’ve got San Ignacio and Jaén—proper coffee country. Lush, green, a bit wild in places. Loads of biodiversity, rich soils, and the kind of climate coffee plants love.
The name El Guaycan comes from a bright yellow tree you’ll see across the farms. When it flowers, it lights everything up.
It also gives shade to the coffee plants—quietly doing its job in the background. A bit like this coffee, to be honest.
