La Reserva, found in the municipality of Ciudad Bolivar, Antioquia, is the first release within the Cast Iron Black Label range. When farm owner Carlos Pineda first arrived at La Reserva, the farm was abandoned and it was said the production was all but impossible. He saw that the land had the right characteristics, such as the altitude and soil, to produce high scoring specialty coffees.
